Adam’s passion for coaching began as an athlete and coach in the sport of BMX racing. He loves the process of systematically pushing oneself to reach peak performance, win or lose and believes that the best part of coaching is having the opportunity to inspire individuals to become passionate athletes for life. In fact, he still races at an elite level in BMX during the summer months.
Adam learned early in his sports career the importance of focused fitness training programs for dramatically improving performance. As he transitioned into coaching, he developed a specialized program for athletes in BMX, skiing, and Olympic lifting called CampX. The program was designed to give athletes an edge by focusing on how to move efficiently and train to reduce injuries.
Adam’s coaching career in skiing began at COP when he was just 16 years old, working with young athletes in both alpine and freestyle disciplines. He transitioned to ski cross, leveraging his knowledge of both ski disciplines together with some coaching techniques he picked up in the highly competitive sport of BMX. His ski cross coaching career started with the Evolve team and he then moved on to assist with the development and subsequent expansion of the Alberta Ski Cross team. He continued along the coaching path and joined the Canadian ski cross team. Working with some of the top coaches and athletes in the sport, he had an opportunity to help build and coach the Centralize Development team for several seasons leading up to the Olympics.
We are very excited that Adam has returned to Evolve to help us build an outstanding development program for our FIS ski cross athletes!
